People who visit or live or work in Lower Marsh are set to benefit from community schemes funded by film and TV companies.
Periodically production companies who use the street have made a goodwill payment in recognition of the disruption caused during filming.
On Tuesday, July 20 a Film Funding Panel was formed to distribute money from these payments to causes which will benefit Lower Marsh.
The group will be made up of representatives from local businesses, residents and Waterloo Quarter BID.
It will be responsible for assessing and awarding grants of up to £500.
Applications will be assessed once a year in April. More details on grant criteria and how to apply will feature on the www.waterlooquarter.org website.
