The African Palliative Care Association UK (APCA UK) is looking for runners to help it with a fundraising drive.

The Waterloo-based charity is trying to find people who are willing to compete in Run to the Beat, a half marathon which begins and ends at the O2 Arena on Sunday, September 26.

Each runner would be expected to raise about £300 in sponsorship for APCA UK, which helps to transform the lives of people living with terminal illnesses in Africa.

Greg Brister, fundraising and advocacy manager for the Short Street charity, said: “By taking part in Run to the Beat you can have fun, improve your fitness and make a real difference to people’s lives.”
