| Year-round tree lights |

The BID is looking to fund the installation of year-round tree lights to some of the more prominent trees in the area. The junction of Baylis Road and Waterloo Road will be lit, with further trees decorated at the corner of Lower Marsh next to Cubana, as well as some in Emma Cons Gardens (these are dependent on the receipt of additional sponsorship from nearby businesses).
The lights, like those that were installed in Kennington Road by the BID in 2007, will brighten up the area’s appearance, particularly during the winter months, and make the area feel more welcoming to visitors, residents and local workers. They will also knit together the commercial areas of The Cut and Lower Marsh which are currently bisected by the heavy thoroughfare of Waterloo Road.
